About UNPS

Dedicated to delivering medical excellence in crisis zones

The United Nations Peacekeeping Surgeons program was established to address the critical shortage of surgical care in conflict-affected regions worldwide.

Our Story

A legacy of service and sacrifice

Founded in response to the growing humanitarian medical crisis in conflict zones, UNPS brings together the world's most skilled surgeons and medical professionals under one unified mission.

Our physicians are carefully vetted, board-certified specialists who volunteer to serve in challenging environments. They bring not only their expertise but a deep commitment to the communities they serve.

Since our founding, we have deployed over 2,400 medical professionals to 47 countries, directly impacting the lives of more than 1.2 million people through surgical care, training programs, and community health initiatives.

Mission

To provide world-class surgical care to populations affected by conflict and crisis.

Vision

A world where no one is denied critical medical care due to conflict or geography.

Values

Integrity, compassion, excellence, and respect for human dignity in all operations.

Standards

All deployed physicians meet rigorous international certification and training requirements.

"Every life saved in a conflict zone is a testament to the courage of our medical teams and the resilience of the communities they serve."
